Wood pellets from the region
Lab-tested class A1 quality – delivered on pallets
We supply wood pellets made from hardwood and softwood for pellet stoves and pellet boilers – from Löningen, Lower Saxony, to the region. We prove the quality not with marketing claims but with an analysis by an independent, accredited laboratory.
Tested quality: all measured values within class A1
The European standard ISO 17225-2 defines the values wood pellets for household stoves and boilers must meet. The strictest class is A1. Our pellets were lab-tested in September 2025 – all measured values are within the class A1 limits, many of them by a clear margin.
| Property | Class A1 limit | Lab result |
|---|---|---|
| Moisture content | ≤ 10 % | ✓ 5,4 % |
| Ash content (dry) | ≤ 0,7 % | ✓ 0,57 % |
| Net calorific value (as received) | ≥ 4,6 kWh/kg | ✓ 5,0 kWh/kg |
| Mechanical durability | ≥ 98,0 % | ✓ 99,0 % |
| Fines < 3.15 mm | ≤ 1,0 % | ✓ 0,22 % |
| Bulk density | 600–750 kg/m³ | ✓ 741 kg/m³ |
| Diameter | 6 ± 1 mm | ✓ 6,4 mm |
| Nitrogen (dry) | ≤ 0,3 % | ✓ 0,22 % |
| Sulphur (dry) | ≤ 0,04 % | ✓ 0,015 % |
| Chlorine (dry) | ≤ 0,02 % | ✓ 0,009 % |
| Ash deformation temperature | ≥ 1.200 °C | ✓ 1.340 °C |
All tested heavy metals (arsenic, cadmium, chromium, copper, mercury, nickel, lead, zinc) are also below the A1 limits – lead, for example, at 1.5 mg/kg against a permitted 10 mg/kg.

What does this mean for your stove?
Low ash
With 0.57 % ash, less residue remains in the burner pot – you clean less often.
High heating value
Dry pellets with 5.4 % moisture deliver 5.0 kWh of heat per kilogram.
Hardly any dust
99 % durability and only 0.22 % fines mean little abrasion during transport and in the feed auger.
Clean combustion
Low nitrogen, sulphur and chlorine values mean cleaner flue gas and protect your boiler.
Convenient heat at the push of a button
A pellet stove works almost like a modern central heating system in your living room: a feed auger takes the pellets from the hopper, an igniter lights them electrically, and the control unit only ever adds as much fuel as the chosen temperature requires. You can set it via thermostat, timer or app – and there is no reloading as long as the hopper is filled.
Because the fuel is standardised and uniform, modern pellet stoves reach efficiencies of around 90 % – and produce measurably lower emissions of nitrogen, sulphur and chlorine than a hand-fed log burner. That is exactly why quality matters: if pellets are too damp or too brittle, the feed auger jams and combustion becomes uneven.
Pellets are made from sawdust and wood shavings left over from timber processing – a residue that would otherwise go largely unused. Our pellets have a fine content of just 0.22 %, a nitrogen content of 0.22 %, sulphur at 0.015 % and chlorine at 0.009 % – all well within the Class A1 limits of DIN EN ISO 17225-2.
Wood type and delivery
The pellets consist of around 70 % hardwood and 30 % softwood and are pressed without additives – the wood's own lignin binds them. Diameter 6 mm.
Bagged
Bags of approx. 10 kg – easy to handle when refilling pellet stoves.
Full pallet
96 bags on one pallet (80 × 120 cm), approx. 960 kg in total.
Delivery area
Our focus is the districts of Cloppenburg, Vechta, Emsland, Oldenburg and Osnabrück – but we also deliver throughout Germany and to the Netherlands. Date and quantity are agreed with you directly.
How much heat is in one pallet?
At 5.0 kWh per kilogram, around 2 kg of pellets replace about 1 litre of heating oil. A pallet of approx. 960 kg therefore delivers around 4,800 kWh of heat – roughly 480 litres of heating oil.
Wood pellet FAQ
Which stoves are the pellets suitable for?
For household pellet stoves and boilers that use 6 mm pellets. Please also check your stove manufacturer's fuel requirements.
How should I store bagged pellets?
Dry and protected, ideally on the pallet rather than directly on the floor, so the pellets stay firm and do not absorb moisture.
Do you deliver to homes?
Yes. We agree the delivery date and quantity with you directly – call or email us.
Can I see the test report?
Yes, we will gladly email you the full laboratory report on request.
